Some of our clients have asset or stock holdings they need to move promptly, awaiting subsequent authorisation for auction disposal.
These clients can include Retail PLCs, Government Authorities and Insolvency Practitioners. John Pye Auctions UK network of over 20 secure sites encompassing over 600,000 sq. ft. affords our clients with the option of relocating subject assets or stock to gain multiple operational benefits.
For Retail PLCs, the option to move large surplus stock holdings from fulfilment or distribution centres, particularly at peak periods, is a significant added value benefit, to regain prime warehousing space for higher margin, front line sales fulfilment and this is where John Pye Auctions regularly provide client support.
For Government Authorities, we offer the option of securely storing assets, sometime of a contentious or sensitive case nature, to ensure the integrity and value of assets before authorisation for disposal.
Moreover, for Turnaround, Restructuring and Insolvency clients John Pye Auctions storage facilities provide a safe haven for assets not only at risk of third party distraint but also away from a potential ‘fire-sale’ situation.
Keeping assets in-situ within encumbered rented commercial premises, subject to an insolvency, presents a very limited time window for resale, compared to relocation to unencumbered third party premises to provide greater lead time for marketing and auction sale to the secondary market; this is particularly important for niche industry assets.
John Pye Auctions asset and stock storage provisions have been vetted to UK Central Government procurement and international Retail industry standards, offering storage facility options across Scotland, England and Wales.
On most occasions our storage provisions are offered free to clients where subsequent authorisation for asset disposal is guaranteed within the following three months of inbound receipt. Should disposal be considered later fees are negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
