John Pye Auctions Vehicles department has grown substantially since 2011 to now sell over 27,000 vehicles per annum across more than 22 UK sites.
These vehicles range from seized vehicles – cars, motorbikes, vans and trucks – through to prestige sports and classic cars and F1 cars, all managed for a wide range of clients from Police Authorities and Central Government through to Banks, Lenders, Insolvency Practitioners and Automotive dealerships.
With a network of car and HGV transporters and in-house recovery trucks, we move vehicles daily across the UK. Our Vehicles team encompasses staff trained to drive forklifts, recovery trucks, operate Hi-Abs and trade plate drivers, as well as dedicated vehicle preparation staff, vehicle management administration, marketing and IT teams.
Our secure vehicle sites have been vetted to UK Central Government procurement security standards.
Vehicle department fast facts:
All vehicles are checked against HPi for their asset status and, through our Government contrcat with the Department of Transport, we have established a fast track system with the DVLA for UK vehicle document re-registration.
Furthermore, we also have a long established approved automotive supply chain, from key cutters through to automotive engineers, smart repairers, upholsters and valeters; all engaged weekly to enhance every vehicle’s maximum value at auction.
Our vehicle department undertakes over 16,000 vehicle valuations per annum using the CAP Vehicle Condition Standard sheet, which all trained staff work with to inspect vehicles and complete condition reports. Valuations are obtained from both industry vehicle data provider CAP and past John Pye Auctions sales; logged on our unique in-house case management system, Assetline, and reported to clients through a secure log-in and automated email notification system.
Assetline tracks the journey of every vehicle through the auction pipeline from initial appraisal and valuation through to preparation, marketing, auction sale and post sale payment.
