Our John Pye wedding dress sales are taking place at our South Wales and Marchington sites. The sales will include a huge range of wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and accessories.
Following bridal retailer Berketex announcing their transition into administration, our Business Assets team at John Pye were appointed to handle the valuation and disposal of over 20,000 unsold wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, plus hundreds of shoes and accessories. Berketex Bride ceased trading on the 13th November, 2018. They had been selling bridal wear for over 50 years when insolvency practitioners Wilson Field were brought in to manage the administration process.
Our business assets team came to the aid of Berketex customers by reuniting them with dresses that they paid for in full or made a deposit on before administration was announced.
The remaining range consists of over 20,000 bridal wear items including designer wedding dresses, stylish shoes and must-have accessories which are available to try before you buy at both the John Pye facility in Port Talbot, South Wales from the 7th of December, 2018, on every Friday and Saturday and the Marchington facility from 9th of February, 2019, on every Saturday, until further notice.
The dresses are available to purchase for bridal retailers and members of the public and are in excellent condition. Customers can expect to save up to 60% off RRP from this selection of unsold stock. The wedding dress sales include gowns by designers such as Emily Fox, Amy Hamilton, Rosetta Nicolini, Tom Flowers and Christina Sposa.
Trevor Palethorpe, national head of corporate valuations at John Pye, said:
“We are expecting a great deal of interest in this sale due to the high-profile nature of this administration, so I would advise those interested to view and purchase early. There is an opportunity for brides to purchase a wedding gown at a fraction of the recommended retail price and walk away with it the same day.
“Now all of the dresses left are purely shop stock, this is the perfect opportunity to find replacements at a discounted price.”
The online sales went live on Friday the 7th of December, with public viewing available weekly on every Friday 12pm – 3pm and every Saturday 10am – 2pm, until further notice.
The Marchington sales began on February the 9th, with viewings every Saturday from 10am-2pm, until further notice.
Customers can attend viewing days and try on the dresses, purchase items and walk away with them on the same day!
