Dennis N Type Fire Engine | Estimate £30,000 – £40,000
This is one of only a handful of N Type Fire Engines still in existence. This example was manufactured in 1914 and was owned and run by Dennis for 5 years before it was purchased by the Folkestone Corporation in 1919 for the princely sum of £1,320 and entered service with the Folkestone Fire Brigade. The appliance was fitted with a Gwynne 3 stage turbine that could displace over 4,000 litres per minute, (that’s 880 gallons in old money!)
Leyland TSW 14T “Hippo” with Tanker Body | Estimate £13,000 – £18,000 – No Reserve
GK0 531 fist entered service during the early period of the Second World War and was supplied to Johnson Brothers Aylesford Ltd, whose name is still borne on the side of the tanker body. It was purchased by the vendor’s father in 1961 and subsequently went into the ownership of another party in 1979. The vehicle re-entered the collection in December 2005 when it was purchased from the West of England Transport Collection based in Exeter.
Dodge Pick Up Truck with Tipper Body and Manual Hoist | Estimate £4,000 – £8,000 – No Reserve
We are pleased to offer a rare example of an early Dodge Truck with a tipper body to include a manual hoist. Not much is known about its early life and was discovered in an orchard in the village of Voutenay-Sur-Cure, France. The vendor found it in a derelict condition and repatriated back to the UK in 2010. The extensive photograph file details its condition at the time of purchase, but the potential can be readily seen. It is currently in a dismantled state.
Morris Minor 1000 Traveller | Estimate £1,500 – £3,000 – No Reserve
KCB 95G entered the collection in 1997. Since its arrival the vehicle has been dry stored and left untouched by the vendor.
